I have made an account, but am still unable to create new online tax returns
To create an online filing, you must first request access to the personal or corporate functions in the portal. Do this from the Customer service tab. Using Access to portal application you can request access to the relevant functions of the portal.
For the time being a single user account can only be linked to one personal and one corporate Crib-number. If you intend to file tax returns for several corporate Crib-numbers, you will have to make a separate user account for each one and request access for each.
If you would like to access the portal using a personal Crib-number, you will need the following documents:
- Your full name as it appears on your identification documents
- Your Sedula number
- A phone number where you can be reached during the day
- A scan (digital copy) of a valid identification document
If you intend to file tax returns as a company , you will also need the following information:
- The Crib-number of the company you intend to file tax returns for
- The formal and trade name for the company
- The address and phone number for the company
- A PDF document (i.e. a scan) proving that you have the authority to file this company's tax returns, for example; an extract from the Chamber of Commerce referring to you as a representative
New version of the online portal
In May 2013 a new version of the online portal was put in use. As a safety precaution all passwords for existing users were blocked during this process. All previously existing users will be required to reset their passwords as soon as they log in to the new portal for the first time. New users will need to create a new account.
Important information about using the online portal
You are responsible for your own availability and performance of your own computer systems. Any problems with your system do not exempt you from the responsibility of having to file your tax returns on time. Do not wait until the last possible date to file your tax returns.
The tax office is responsible for its own systems and will ensure its optimal availability. In the unlikely event that some failure in the system of the tax office prevents you from being able to file your tax returns before the deadline, then a suitable solution will be found for your situation.
Round off all amounts to whole guilders, even where the system doesn't explicitly tell you to do so. You may round the amounts up or down to your advantage.
If you forget your username, password, or both, you are still required to file your tax returns on time, for example, by bringing written forms to the tax office. You risk a fine if you don't file your tax returns on time, even if you forgot your username or password.
The tax return has been filed the moment it arrives at the tax office. This date can be found on the receipt confirmation in the online tax return case.
Ensure that your company is in agreement about tasks and responsibilities. Decide who gets access to the secured sections of the internet page. You will only receive one username and password.
System requirements and supported browsers
This online portal works on all modern browsers and is accessible with operating systems Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 or the Apple Macintosh OS X 10.6 and up.
For the best view we recommend the latest versions of Internet Explorer 11, Mozilla Firefox, Safari or Google Chrome with a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768 pixels (256 colors).
The portal does not support browser version prior to Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox 20 or Safari 5. Are you still using Internet Explorer 6 or 7? These are outdated version and no longer supported nor updated by Microsoft and therefore not suitable for use with this online portal.
The zoom level of your browser window/view should be 100% at all times, zooming in or out is not supported.
It is necessary to enable and clear cookies use by our websites and portals. If your browser setting do not allow cookies, then you need to make an exception for this website. If necessary, please refer to the 'Help' menu of your browser.
I can't log in to the portal. What do I do now?

What are electronic filings?
Electronic filing or e-Filing is a modern way to file your tax returns and other declarations with many advantages:
- e-Filing is fast, secure and reliable!
- You can file any time and anywhere, at home, in the office or underway with an internet connection!
- With e-Filing you no longer have to stand in lines!
- You are contributing to a green environment by using paper resources more efficiently. The Tax Authority is working towards e-Filing and some matters will have to be filed electronically.
- e-Filing s free and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
- You can save and retrieve partially filled information before submitting.
- The application will guide you and check for the most occurring errors.
Are electronic filings safe?
Security and data safeguarding is of most importance in regard to online portals of the Tax Authority. Many efforts and safeguards have been implemented to make sure that the functionalities are secure. The access is restricted and secures the confidentiality of your data. The electronic filing or e-Filing web pages are using HTTPS protocol. This stand for HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure and you can recognize this by the https in the first part of the web address. The entered and saved data is encrypted which makes it impossible to be intercepted by third parties.
Nevertheless you should consider additional security measures. The Tax Authority has taken measures to secure the online portals and data transfer. You can secure your ICT environment and machines with f.e. firewalls, virus scanners and anti-spyware tools.
It is always required to sign filed tax returns. How does this work with electronic filings?
Your online account credentials and the corresponding authorization void the need for and replace a physical signature when using e-Filing. Keep your user credentials private and do not disclose these to any third party without considerations.
I've filed my tax return, but I've noticed that some amounts were incorrect. Can I still edit these?
You can submit multiple versions of the same filing. If the amount was too low, this can be corrected by filing the difference as an additional amount. If the amount was too high, then this cannot be corrected electronically for payroll tax returns or turnover tax returns. Please write to the Inspectie der Belastingen or visit the office personally to correct this error.
How do I add Appendices and evidence statements to my returns?
With returns on payroll taxes and turnover taxes you are not required to upload any appendices or other evidence statements. Save these in your own records in case the Inspectie der Belastingen and/or the Stichting Belasting Accountantsbureau might need to see them someday.
With an electronic collective wage sheet you can upload appendices with the available tasks in the collective wage sheet case. Note that you will not be able to delete these uploaded documents yourself.
Do I still have to save my own copy for my records?
From now on you will be able access your previously filed tax returns using your username and password. We would still recommend keeping a copy for your own records, which is why we send you an email after you submit your return and generate a PDF document that you can save or print out. Additionally you could also take a screenshot of your submitted filings.
